Phil is a dedicated professional with 13 years of long-term recovery, drawing on his lived experience, research, and clinical practice to support individuals with substance use disorders. He leverages his expertise in public health, social work, and community organizing to promote equitable access to treatment and drive positive change.
Before earning master’s degrees in social work and public health from Boston University, Phil spent over a decade in political, community, and union organizing. His work is especially focused on underserved and underrepresented communities, where he develops innovative strategies to improve access to treatment and support for those affected by substance use disorders.
