Frances Larry Brisbane, PhD, Vice President of Workforce Diversity Health, and Sciences at Stony Brook University, New York, where she served as the former Dean of social work for 24 ears. Dr. Brisbane is the founder and Dean of the BAI, and co-founder of the International People of Colour Conference an International Perspective. Her awards, recognitions and accolades are numerous, a few are as follows: 2000, The New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services Governor Pataki honoree.; 2007, the United States President’s highest honor for Service and Civic Participation; Stony Brook University President’s Award for Excellence in Diversity and Affirmative Action and named “The Conscious of the University”. She is Author of four books, editor of three books, among them includes cultural monographs for two federal agencies – The Center for Substance Abuse Prevention and The Bureau of Primary Health Care.
