Dianna Christmas MPH, began her journey in recovery thirty seven years ago. She launched her commitment to support those struggling with substance use disorders. Her career began as a counselor at Woman INC. After five years she moved on to Dimock Community Health Center’s Detox program to develop one of the first detox’s for women in the City of Boston. Dianna also developed the Sheila Daniel’s House in Roxbury for families living with Hiv/Aids. As the Director of the City of Boston’s Healthy Start Initiative, an infant mortality program to address the disparities between Black and white infants deaths. During a ten year period the program successfully decreased infant mortality rates for Black infants in the City of Boston from 3.4 to 1.5. Dianna continues her commitment offering trainings to better understand addiction to social service programs such as daycares, housing and family support programs.
