Nia Imani, Masters in Business Management, Spiritual Life Coach – and CEO of Color Me Beautiful – STYLES 4 U, Founder and former Executive Director of the non-profit organization Sisterhood On The Move Inc., began appearing on the motivational speaking circuit in 1996. She had the great opportunity to train under Les Brown the World Leading Motivational Speaker. Nia also studied under award-wining and bestselling author Iyanla Vanzant at Inner Vision Worldwide Institute of Spiritual Development in Silver Springs, MD for two years. She Studied Homeopathy for four years at the School of Teleosis in Cambridge, Ma, becoming a Homeopathy lay person. Nia Imani along with Loretta Butehorn, PhD CCH, Peris Gumz,,RN CCH founded THE SIDEWALK SCHOOL AND HOLISTIC HEALTH CENTER in Roxbury, Ma 2008. Nia also, works part-time at the Home for the Little Wonders as a Direct Care Counselor.
Currently Nia Imani’s company Styles 4 U brings years of styling, makeup artistry and design experience to her work. Her styling sensibilities are truly authentic, resulting from time spent working, studying, and living in Massachusetts, and Virginia. Her training and work experience in fashion has provided her with the exquisite knowledge and skills needed to assist clients in enhancing their personal attributes and to realize a dynamic, more confident self. A leading fashion expert known for her warm, professional approach, Nia has given style advice on TV and Radio. She provides clients with unique advantages and experiences while assisting them to achieve the image they desire. Nia is renowned for her innate creative eye, intuitive sensitivity and passion for style. She hosted TV talk shows entitled Sisterhood On The Move and The Nia Imani Project on Boston Neighborhood Network, Channel 23. The shows addressed world and cultural issues concerning the Metropolitan community. She also co-hosted a radio talk show entitled Optimal Wisdom on TOUCH 106.1 FM. Throughout her career, Ms. Imani observed many outreach programs for teenage girls and saw a need to incorporate a curriculum that speaks to the core existence of a girl becoming a woman; thus, the “Female Rites of Passage” program was created as a foundation block for other programs to build upon for the sake of young girls.
