Barbara Santos-Silva’s journey started in 1998 at First Women’s Circle as a client. Once she successfuly completed her program she continued to remain connected and has worked in all phases of the recovery process (detox, post detox, residential transitional, housing first, and out patient). She is dedicated to reaching back and helping people who were in her position. She is committed to letting people know that true recovery is possible to find a new form of life and freedom. Currently, she is employed as a Medical Case Manager and Recovery Coach at Victory Programs. In her free time, she volunteers doing outreach on Mass and Cass feeding the homeless and assists people getting into detox. Her life mottos are “Be yourself to free yourself.” and “To be aware is to be alive.”
